Located in a wide-spread area of 25 acres of land at Vellanad in Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Sarabhai Institute of Science & Technology has been named after Vikram Sarabhai, who initiated Space Science & technology in India. It is an autonomous institution started by Space Engineers Welfare Society. The college is affiliated to Cochin University of Science and Technology. Sarabhai Institute of Science & Technology has gained the approval of Government of Kerala and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi to conduct bachelor’s level engineering programmes in various disciplines. The college boasts of providing practical exposure along with theoretical knowledge.
