Located in a widespread area of 26 acre of land at Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, MVR College of Engineering & Technology started its first academic session in 2008. The institution was initiated by Swarna Academy of Sciences, Vijayawada. Affiliated to Acharya Nagarjuna University, it offers full-time, four years, undergraduate engineering programme in various disciplines along with post graduate Business Administration degree course. MVR College of Engineering and Technology has gained the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. The college envisions imparting quality education in technological and management field, in order to produce proficient man power in respective field.

The candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized Board in science stream with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as subjects of study. In addition, they should have completed 16 years of age as on 31st December of year of admission.

Short-listing of 75% seats are done according to the performance of the candidate in EAMCET while 25% seats are under management quota, which are filled as per the scores in EAMCET and AIEEE.
