Padmashree Dr DY Patil Institute of Engineering and Technology is a premier institute for higher education in Maharashtra. Popularly referred to as DYPIET, the college is located in Pune, one of the prime hubs for higher education in the state. The college came into existence in July 1998. It was initially named as Padmashree Dr D Y Patil Women's College of Engineering. The institute was later on converted into a co-education college. Subsequently, its name was changed to Padmashree Dr DY Patil Institute of Engineering & Technology.
Affiliated to the University of Pune, Dr DY Patil Institute of Engineering & Technology has been awarded 'A' grade by the Government of Maharashtra, India, for the high standards of education imparted by it. In addition to this, the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi, has accredited most of the courses offered by it. Currently, DYPIET conducts courses in both undergraduate and post graduate levels, in several branches of engineering. The college also offers Masters of Business Administration (MBA)

Undergraduate:
Eligible candidates should be 10+2 passed in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry securing minimum 50% marks. BC/SC/ST candidates are given concession in minimum required marks.
Post Graduate:
The candidate should have done Bachelor's degree in any stream, from a recognized University.
