College of Engineering Munnar, was set up in 2000 by the Center for Continuing Education, which is a Government of Kerala undertaking. Located in a picturesque location, College of Engineering is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and is affiliated to the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi. The college undergraduate level programmes in the field of engineering, that is, Bachelor of Technology (B Tech). It is a four-year full time programme. College of Engineering Munnar has various modern facilities within its campus.

Admissions are conducted by the Government through centralized allotment. Counseling is conducted after the written common entrance test. Engineering diploma holders can get admission in the third semester under Lateral Entry scheme. A section of seats are kept under NRI Quota.
