College of Engineering Ahmednagar, in Maharashtra, is a renowned educational institution. The college came into being in 1983, when it was started by Padmashri Dr Vithalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation. Currently, the college offers courses in different fields of engineering. The courses conducted by the institute have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. College of Engineering Ahmednagar is affiliated to the University of Pune.
Spread over an area of 40 acres, the campus of College of Engineering Ahmednagar is located in vicinity of Ahmednagar Industrial Area, which provides easy access to the students for practical training. The candidates should be passed in HSC / 10+2 examinations with Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry securing 50%. For SC/ST candidates, threshold has been lowered to 45% marks. Engineering diploma holders who have passed with minimum of 50% marks are also eligible.

Admissions are held through MHT-CET conducted by DTE, Mumbai and AIEEE conducted by CBSE, New Delhi. 65% of total seats are reserved for the candidates of Maharashtra. Candidates from out of Maharashtra are admitted on the base of AIEEE score. Management seats are filled upto 20% of total intake.
Applicants who have scored more than 60% marks in diploma course are eligible for direct 2nd year admission.
