College of Engineering & Technology (COET) in Akola, Maharashtra, came into existence in 1983. The college is a premier institution for technical education in the state. Shri Shivaji Education Society, Amravati, established the college with a view to produce competent engineers, year by year. College of Engineering & Technology Akola is affiliated to Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, Amravati.
CET Akola has been recognized by the Government of Maharashtra, for its high standards of education. Currently, the college offers technical courses at undergraduate level, in several branches of engineering. The college offers courses with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. Most of its programmes have also been accredited by National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

Eligibility:
Undergraduate:
Candidates should have passed HSC / 10+2 or equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics securing 50% marks. BC candidates from Maharashtra need only 45% marks. Diploma holders in Engineering with minimum 50% marks can also apply.
For B Arch eligible candidates should possess minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination (10+2) in PCM group.

The candidates have to go through MHT-CET. 20% seats of total intake in all the engineering branches are filled by the institute itself.
For B Arch admission is granted as per the guidelines of Directorate of Technical Education, DTE.
