PMET (Punjab Medical Entrance Test) is conducted for admission into the first year of MBBS, BDS, BHMS and BAMS courses in the medical colleges of Punjab.

PMET

Punjab Medical Entrance Test is conducted by Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot through Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. PMET is held for admission into the first year of the programs like MBBS, BDS and BAMS into the various government and private affiliated medical colleges/institutes under Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot in Punjab. MBBS in Christian Medical College and Ludhiana and BSc Nursing in College of Nursing, Ludhiana follow separate rules for the admission.

Eligibility

MBBS, BDS, BAMS
The candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with 50% (45% for SC/ST) in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board. The candidate must have attained 17 years of age and must be permanent resident of the state of Punjab.
BHMS
The candidate must have passed their 10+2 or equivalent examination with 40% (for SC/ BC 33%) marks in aggregate with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognized board or in PCB group.

Examination Pattern

  • PMET test paper consists of objective type multiple-choice questions.
  • Questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
  • There is the system of negative marking for a wrong answer attempted by the candidate.

Syllabus

PMET (Punjab Medical Entrance Test) entrance test paper comprises of questions from Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. The standard of the questions is of the 10+2 level followed by various boards across India.
